At The Noble Hound, build a relationship with your dog that is based on mutual respect, structure, and love
The Noble Hound is a Winnipeg based dog training company, established in 2012. We offer private training and consults, group classes, as well as a unique dog walking program. We do far more than teach the basics; we help our clients understand dog behaviour in a way that makes sense, and customize each training plan to meet your dog’s specific needs. Most importantly, we will help you build a relationship with your dog that is based on mutual respect, structure, and love. What is our goal at the Noble Hound? Well, it’s simple. We want happy people and happy dogs!
Meet Lisa
Lisa Rasmussen (CPDT-KA) is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer with over two decades of experience working with dogs. Lisa’s interest in animal behaviour began when she was a young child, and continued on into adulthood, specifically while she was pursuing her undergraduate degree in Physical Anthropology and Biology at The University of Winnipeg. After graduating from university, Lisa found herself working with The Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue as their Foster Coordinator, where she developed a deep interest in the complexity of canine behaviour and decided that working with dogs would become a life-long career. After completing an intense dog training program in British Columbia, and then passing the Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed exam, Lisa opened The Noble Hound in 2012.
Lisa is an advocate for force-free, science-based and humane dog training methods and keeps up to date on the latest research in canine cognition, behaviour and training, regularly attending seminars and workshops. She has dabbled in agility, rally obedience, and scent detection work; however, her main interest lies in helping her clients to better understand their dogs, while coaching them to solve or better yet, prevent unwanted behaviours.
In addition to being a mom to two young children, and a lanky Doberman named Juno, Lisa enjoys running, Nordic skiing, and reading old novels.
